In response to a request from the Coordinator of the Advanced Technology Program (ATP), the&#13;
Office of lnstitutional Planning &amp; Analysis conducted a follow-up study of program graduates. From&#13;
December 15-18, 1997, attempts were made to contact all fifty-four (54) program graduates. A total of&#13;
twenty-six (26) graduates responded to the survey resulting in a 48% response rate. The primary focus of&#13;
this study was to determine the current employment status of ATP graduates and to assess their&#13;
experiences since completing the program.

First offered in the Spring of 1985, the Manufacturing Technology degree program was a restricted degree program for an automotive supplier’s employees (Dana Corporation).  The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the training in meeting the stated objectives of the program. This was achieved by conducting a Follow-up Survey of 111 program completers.  Measures of effectiveness were based on the students’ level of satisfaction.

The purpose of this report is to evaluate the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)&#13;
program in light of current employer needs and industry trends. This report is designed to identify&#13;
the current needs of employers while addressing the issue of declining enrollment in the CIM&#13;
program.&#13;
This report incorporates a review of related literature, employment statistics (provided by&#13;
The Occupational Outlook Handbook, Michigan Employment Security Commission, and the&#13;
Michigan Occupational Information System) as well as information supplied by employers, OCC&#13;
students, and professional associations. In addition, program coordinators and faculty members&#13;
involved with similar programs at other institutions were contacted.
